eWorld / Online Service Software / Apple Inc./ 1994-1996

eWorld was Apple's second attempt at an online service after AppleLink. Cleo Huggins created the user interface (among many other things) and illustrator Mark Drury did the artwork.

It cost $8.95 per month and, for an array of reasons, it was pretty much destined to flop agaisnt the monster that was AOL at the time. The service was extremely short lived, opening in June 1994 and shutting down in March 1996. Luckily, Applefritter offers an eWorld BBS reboot that works on vintage Macs for those who still would like to experience it for themselves.

I gathered all the different eWorld themes I could find here.
